SUMMARY:Territory Urban Design Team [workshop]
DESCRIPTION:Chicago S.I. participant Territory Urban Design Team will be on site Saturday mornings in July and early August as part of their 6-week summer design studio\, in which 30 teenagers will work together to envision and build site‐specific solutions to problems with public spaces. This summer studio focuses on the issue of safety and safe spaces for teens\, and while core participants have already been selected\, feel free to stop by and see what they’re working on. \nThis Saturday\, TUDT will present a prototype for a table that they will use to create a “safe space” to interview the public about their concerns regarding safety\, and their suggestions for creating safe spaces in their neighborhoods. We invite you to join us and help the teens gather information and brainstorm ideas for designing and creating safe spaces! \n
